Ingredients:
- Handful of Talia’s Almonds, peeled and sliced in half
- 1/2 cup of Talia’s Raspberry Jam
- Cooking oil spray
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup or 1 stick of unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a large baking tray with cooking oil spray and set aside.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl and whisk together.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour mixture from step 2 until a dough forms.
- Scoop out 1 1/2 tbsp. of the dough and roll into a finger shape. Press a sliced almond (flat side down) onto one end of the finger to make the fingernail. Lightly cut horizontal lines in the center of the dough and near the fingernail. Gently press in the dough on either sides of the cuts to form the knuckles. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough.
- Place the fingers on the greased baking tray and put in the oven. Bake for 16-18 minutes.
- Pour the raspberry jam into a small saucepan and warm over low heat.
- Dip the ends of the baked fingers (the end without the fingernail) into the warmed jam and serve.
