Green beans almondine are a classic French side dish that features fresh green beans and crunchy, toasted almonds. If you’re looking for a simple yet delicious alternative to green bean casserole this Thanksgiving, this dish is the perfect substitute.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of Talia’s Almonds, sliced or slivered
  • 1lb. green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil over medium heat in a large pan. Add in the almonds and toast until they turn a golden brown color. Set aside in a separate container.
  2. Using the same pan, add in the remaining olive oil and green beans. Cook until the green beans change into a bright green color and have softened, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add in the garlic and sauté until fragrant, or about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the toasted almonds and salt. Stir to combine.
