Snowball cookies are a fan favorite around the winter time because they’re delicious, easy to make, and are reminiscent of playing in the snow. Make them for yourself or wrap up a batch to gift to family and friends!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Talia’s Walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, to coat

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour, walnuts, salt, and sugar together in a large bowl.
  2. Pour in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add in cut up pieces of the butter and mix together with your hands until you get a crumbly dough.
  4. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  5. When you’re ready to make the cookies, preheat the oven to 300°F.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 tbsp. each. Place onto the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  10. While the cookies are still warm, roll them in a bowl of powdered sugar to coat and set aside.
  11. Once cooled completely, dust with more powdered sugar.
