Ful medames is a dish that originated in Egypt, but many other countries have adopted this dish and added their own twist to it.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of Talia’s Plain Fava Beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can of Talia’s Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 large tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 bunch parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 – 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
Tahini Sauce (Optional)
- 2 tsp. tahini
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. water
This sauce is optional, but adding it will make the dish more creamy and flavorful. To prepare the tahini sauce, just mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl.
Instructions:
- Add all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine. Taste and adjust salt to your liking.
- Garnish with more parsley.
- Serve with pita.
