If you’re looking for a savory snack for Halloween, this bright orange pumpkin hummus will do the trick! This recipe combines the creamy and nutty flavors of traditional hummus with the sweetness of pumpkin and a little heat from cayenne pepper.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Talia’s Chickpeas, drained
  • 2 tbsp. of Talia’s Tahini
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 can (15oz.) of pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup toasted pumpkin seed kernels

Instructions

  1. Add lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt into a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour in the chickpeas and olive oil and blend again until smooth.
  3. Add in the pumpkin, cumin, and cayenne and blend again.
  4. Remove from blender and put into a mixing bowl. Fold in the pumpkin seeds.
  5. Serve with warm bread or crackers.
