If you’re looking for a savory snack for Halloween, this bright orange pumpkin hummus will do the trick! This recipe combines the creamy and nutty flavors of traditional hummus with the sweetness of pumpkin and a little heat from cayenne pepper.
Ingredients
- 1 can of Talia’s Chickpeas, drained
- 2 tbsp. of Talia’s Tahini
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 can (15oz.) of pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup toasted pumpkin seed kernels
Instructions
- Add lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and salt into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour in the chickpeas and olive oil and blend again until smooth.
- Add in the pumpkin, cumin, and cayenne and blend again.
- Remove from blender and put into a mixing bowl. Fold in the pumpkin seeds.
- Serve with warm bread or crackers.
