Want a cute but super simple dessert idea for Valentine’s Day? Try out this recipe! These are similar to linzer cookies but the shortbread cookies are replaced with flaky, buttery puff pastry sheets. You can also sub out the pastry sheets for premade pie crusts and fill it with any flavor of our delicious jams.
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp. Talia’s Raspberry Jam
- 1 package refrigerated puff pastry sheets
- 1 large egg
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg to make the egg wash. Set aside for later use.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheets and use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out 8 hearts. Use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to cut out hearts in 4 of the hearts.
- Place the hollow hearts on top of the larger hearts. Brush the edges with the egg wash.
- Spread a teaspoon of raspberry jam in the center of each heart.
- Transfer the hearts to the baking tray.
- Bake for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
