Snowball cookies are a fan favorite around the winter time because they’re delicious, easy to make, and are reminiscent of playing in the snow. Make them for yourself or wrap up a batch to gift to family and friends!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups Talia’s Walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar, to coat
Instructions:
- Mix the flour, walnuts, salt, and sugar together in a large bowl.
- Pour in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in cut up pieces of the butter and mix together with your hands until you get a crumbly dough.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
- When you’re ready to make the cookies, preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 tbsp. each. Place onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- While the cookies are still warm, roll them in a bowl of powdered sugar to coat and set aside.
- Once cooled completely, dust with more powdered sugar.
